Mr. Laughing- house has been a patient at a rest home near Sanford for sometime. His many friends here attended burial services. Our sympathy goes to Mrs. Marshall and farhily. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McLaughlin has returned to her home in Char lotte after a visit with her daughter. Mrs. F. L. Eubanks. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Riln were called to Concord Saturday be cause of the death of Mrs. Riley's sister. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Callaway of Hamlet were Monday guests of relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wilson and son. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Price of Charlotte, and Mrs. Howard Gaskey and daughter. Phyllis of Concord were week end guests of Mrs. F. L. Eubanks. Shiloh Revival Rev. George Houk; pastor of West End Presbyterian Church, will be guest preacher for re vival services at Shiloh begin ning Sunday. April 8 through Friday, April 13. These statistics were noted by W syne Corpening of Winston- Salem, vice-president and agri cultural manager of Wachovia Bank, at the recent tenth an nual Farm Press, Radio and Television Institute at North Carolina State College. "In the past ten years, the state's farm cash receipts have risen from $816 million to $1.2 billion a year.’’ said Corpening. Livestock income doubled in the decade —from $160 million to $320 million, he said. "But we can't be satisfied widi that, he added, "Our pack ing plants are operating at only 70 percent of capacity."
